It all started with a once-in-a-lifetime invitation to the financial industry’s inner sanctum: FICO World Conference. Merrill’s groundbreaking ideas about borrower profiles caught the attention of none other than Will Lansing, CEO of FICO® who invited him to meet with the FICO® personal and business score development teams. Instead of viewing him as just another attendee, the FICO® team members he met with saw a kindred spirit—a visionary who they would describe later as having an understanding of how to implement their scoring model better than most of their own team.
It wasn't long before Merrill met with FICO®’s teams, gaining unprecedented access and insights into the process that drives lender decisions.
